Nowadays mobile phones are very popular. Not only the adults or the teenagers are able to have them, but so are children, even the ones who barely got their 10th birthday cakes. Phones are spreading worldwide at an alarming rate because of our megalomaniac consumer society, which just wants myriads of superfluous gadgets. But what are the reasons to have a phone?
Well, it depends on the user. Some people buy fancy overestimated phones to show their wealth, send gratuitous pictures on Snapchat, and how can we forget about the ridiculous selfies made by the attention-seekers? But there is no objection, smartphones are effective, like having a little computer in your very pocket: besides chatting and sending messages, you are able to use mobile data and check your daily schedule online or e-mails on your way to work and connect people easily. Moreover, phones recently provide a huge memory. However it is less than the total, due to the storage of the operating system, you can download games and other apps from the store.
But be careful! You might be addicted to phones not considering the consequences. Beyond all these features you can see the smartphones engulfing their victims. People get isolated worldwide, they even afford sitting next to each other on a date, sending messages on their phones instead of talking in person, or yelling because of a failed process The others cannot stand the shouting phone-addicted ones around themselves, but furthermore, a significant layer of drivers causes accidents because of their phone activities.
In my opinion people should have known their level at usage, before paying for their new cellphones, because I find it disappointing when one does not even know what could be his or her phone capable for. Even including ruling its owner.
